Obtaining a Visa

Please note: ALL visitors must travel to Belize on a valid passport (non­-expired). The passport must be valid for no less than SIX months after the intended period of stay in Belize.

The procedure is such that the applicant must post and email the completed application with all required supporting documents including passport, US visa if they have one and the appropriate visa fee. It is very important to note that the application must submitted using the updated visa application form.

ALL VISA APPLICATIONS must be vetted and approved via the Visa Vetting Committee in Belize.

When applying in the UK/Europe via the Belize High Commission in London

• Single Entry (valid for 3 months from the date of issue): £60
• Multiple Entry: £110

When applying in the USA

• Single Entry (valid for 3 months from the date of issue): US$50
• Multiple Entry: US$100

Postage fee per application

If you wish for the Belize High Commission to return your documents to you via Royal Mail special delivery (THIS IS NOT A COURIER SERVICE) please include the postal fee of, within the UK £7.00 and within Europe £10. For all other destinations a courier service is suggested where the cost may differ.

Missions and Consulates should note that Statutory Instrument # 42 of 2005 – Section 4(2) provides a variation in fees for some nationals as outlined above. The application fee (non-refundable) mentioned above is retained by the respective Office, however all other fees must be remitted to the Government of Belize. Please note that in cases where countries require clearance from Belize, requests for multiple entry visas must be made to and issued by the Department of Immigration in Belize.

Please note that there are no fees or deposits payable by holders of diplomatic and official passports in cases where visas are needed.
